Jay Weinstein is a firefighter in Brooklyn and he needs your help in a big way.
Jay has leukemia and is in need of a bone marrow transplant to save
his life.
Brooklyn On Line will be bringing you more details of Jay's situation in the days ahead, but for now we can tell you that we have been told his best chance for a bone marrow transplant is from some one of a Russian Jewish background. We urge anyone who can to be tested for a match to see if you can help this man and his family.
Current plans are to have a bone marrow screening for Jay on May 3 between 10 AM and 6 PM at the Shorefront Y in Brighton Beach. A bone marrow screening is a simple quick blood test. Please stop by on May 3rd and see if you can give Jay the gift of life.
